I'm sorry I just couldn't wait.

I have a guardian angel,
he comes to me at night
I told him I wanted to go
but he told me Zachary
the times not right
Guess what mommy & daddy
my angel came this morning
while we were all still in bed
he came to me with this warning
Guess what mommy & daddy
It's a beautiful day in June
We are all home together
and I know my time is soon
Guess what mommy & daddy
when you all were out of sight
I told my angel the time was just right
Guess what mommy & daddy
I knew it wouldn't be long
my angel put his hand in mine
and I felt so happy & strong
Guess what mommy & daddy
when you found me,
I saw mommy crying from above
I saw daddy trying to save me
& how scared he was
and I knew how much I was loved
Guess what mommy & daddy
on the way to the hospital
I heard you pray
please bring Zachary back
and I knew you didn't want God taking me away
Guess what mommy & daddy
I saw you in the ER praying
I wasn't really gone
I saw the look on your face
when they finally said yes
and how you looked like you'd never go on
Guess what mommy & daddy
I saw you holding me tight
I kissed you good-bye
and sent you my love
and even tried to tell you I was alright
Guess what mommy & daddy
I wasn't in any pain
I want you to go on with your life
and try not to feel so drained
Guess what mommy & daddy
Grandpa & I made rainbows,
it wasn't hard to do
we spread them out across the sky
to show you WE LOVE YOU!!!

I'll watch you all your days through
and be like your guardian angel
just because I LOVE YOU!!!
